2 postdocs positions on ERC funded project @FendtLab

We (Laboratory for Cellular Metabolism and Metabolic Regulation; Fendt Lab) are
a young and dynamic team of researchers performing cutting edge cancer
metabolism research with special focus on cancer metastasis and novel metabolic
pathways. We exploit in vivo mouse models, metabolomics and 13C tracer analysis
to gain groundbreaking insights into metabolism as a driving force of cancer
progression. Our work is published in high profile journals such as Nature, Nature
Communications, Cell Reports, and Nature Immunology. We have a strong
international recognition and top collaboration partners all over the world.

PROFILE

1ST POSTDOC
Are you interested in the metabolism of cancer cells metastasizing to different organs? You have a background in
metabolism research or cancer metastasis. You have a strong in vivo expertise on cancer mouse models, you have
successfully applied state-of-the-art genetic engineering technologies (such as CRISPR/CAS9), and you are an expert
in molecular biology techniques including but not limited to western blot, qPCR, FACS, immunohistochemistry (IHC),
and cell culture techniques. Expertise in tumor microenvironment research and/or immunology is a plus. You are
interested in mass spectrometry and in vivo metabolism research. You like taking the scientific and experimental lead
on a challenging project. You can work independently but also like to collaborate within the team and other research
groups. You aim for high impact.

2ND POSTDOC
Are you interested in novel metabolic pathways promoting cancer? You have a background in metabolism or cancer
research. You have a strong expertise in dissecting regulatory mechanisms and translating your findings to in vivo
metabolism. You have successfully applied state-of-the-art genetic engineering technologies (such as CRISPR/CAS9),
and standard molecular biology techniques including cell culture. You like quantitative research and expertise in mass
spectrometry or bioinformatics is a plus. You like taking the scientific and experimental lead on a challenging project.
You can work independently but also like to collaborate within the team and other research groups. You aim for high
impact.
